AFTER
After having a nail service it is imperative that you care properly for your new enhancements to prevent severe damage to your natural nails or the early/ immediate breakdown of your service.
if you do not care for your service correctly your return appointment may result in you having to have your nails temporarily removed when you return for your nail appointment instead of receiving fresh nails. we need extra time for removals or extra damage repairs, please let us know if possible in plenty of time if you require more appointment time for repairs etc
not following correct aftercare can also result in higher extra charges when you return due to extensive repair work that we have to perform before re-applying product
- Acrylic nails should be removed professionally or guided by a nail specialist using recommended professional products, please do not attempt to remove your own acrylic nails
- Be extra careful for the first 48 hours after an acrylic service while the product fully hardens
- Avoid heat such as a bath, shower, sauna, steam rooms and hot ovens for 2 hours after your service
- It is VERY important to wear gloves when washing up or cleaning
- Apply CND solar oil 2x daily to the top and underside of the nails and the surrounding skin to promote nail flexibility, prolong the life of your enhancements and nourish the skin. This will also dramatically reduce the risk of breakage or lifting
- Never pick or peel enhancements as it can damage the natural nail
- Never use your nails as tools, use them as you would do your natural nails
- Tinted lotions, spray tans, suntan creams and hair products can lift or discolour your enhancements. wash hands thoroughly after use
- Avoid creams and lotions containing mineral oils around your nail area as they can affect the longevity of enhancements. Use spatulas or a small spoon to remove cream from their pots
- Acrylic nails should last up to 2+ weeks if looked after properly. (less for nail biters) after this time the growth of your natural nail creates an imbalance in the structure of your enhancement. most of our clients return between 3-4 weeks. If you are leaving your visits longer than 2 weeks you must ensure to be extra careful after this time with your nails as the balance and structure of the nails will be unstable.
