AFTER

After having a nail service it is imperative that you care properly for your new enhancements to prevent severe damage to your natural nails or the early/ immediate breakdown of your service.

if you do not care for your service correctly your return appointment may result in you having to have your nails temporarily removed when you return for your nail appointment instead of receiving fresh nails. we need extra time for removals or extra damage repairs, please let us know if possible in plenty of time if you require more appointment time for repairs etc

not following correct aftercare can also result in higher extra charges when you return due to extensive repair work that we have to perform before re-applying product

  • Acrylic nails should be removed professionally or guided by a nail specialist using recommended professional products, please do not attempt to remove your own acrylic nails
  • Be extra careful for the first 48 hours after an acrylic service while the product fully hardens
  • Avoid heat such as a bath, shower, sauna, steam rooms and hot ovens for 2 hours after your service
  • It is VERY important to wear gloves when washing up or cleaning
  • Apply CND solar oil 2x daily to the top and underside of the nails and the surrounding skin to promote nail flexibility, prolong the life of your enhancements and nourish the skin. This will also dramatically reduce the risk of breakage or lifting
  • Never pick or peel enhancements as it can damage the natural nail
  • Never use your nails as tools, use them as you would do your natural nails
  • Tinted lotions, spray tans, suntan creams and hair products can lift or discolour your enhancements. wash hands thoroughly after use
  • Avoid creams and lotions containing mineral oils around your nail area as they can affect the longevity of enhancements. Use spatulas or a small spoon to remove cream from their pots
  • Acrylic nails should last up to 2+ weeks if looked after properly. (less for nail biters) after this time the growth of your natural nail creates an imbalance in the structure of your enhancement. most of our clients return between 3-4 weeks. If you are leaving your visits longer than 2 weeks you must ensure to be extra careful after this time with your nails as the balance and structure of the nails will be unstable.

  • Please also ensure you clean your lashes thoroughly before your appointment, this gives us more time for lashing and less time for cleaning! (If you are having extensions applied and when you arrive your lashes require a deep clean, the time allocated for applying more lashes will be eaten into with cleaning instead resulting in less lashes being applied)

AFTER

After having a Lash service, it is imperative that you care properly for your service to prevent severe damage to your natural lashes or the early/ immediate breakdown of your service.

if you do not care for your service correctly your return appointment may result in you either having to have your lash extensions temporarily removed when you return, or having to take a break from lash lifts instead of receiving a fresh service.

LVL + LASH EXTENSIONS

  • Be extra careful for the first 48 hours after a lash service while the product sets fully. Avoid heat and moisture such as a bath, shower, sun beds, sauna, steam rooms, swimming and hot ovens for 48 hours after your service (please note that exposure to these activities can gradually break down your lash services after this time also – please take care)
  • DO NOT use lash curlers
  • Never pick or peel at your lashes as it can damage the natural lash
  • DO NOT use waterproof mascara (as it requires oil-based remover which will break down your lash service)
  • Tinted lotions, spray tans, suntan creams, hair products and oily products can help break down your lash service. Avoid applying these near your lashes or letting them run into your lashes
  • Exposure to UV can lighten tinted lashes
  • We recommend applying the nouveau lash and brow serum to your lashes 2x daily. This helps to nourish and strengthen your natural lashes under the chosen service. This product does not interfere with your service, but enhances it further by protecting the natural lashes, creating a stable base for whichever lash treatment you choose, enabling longer and healthier wear of your service.

LASH EXTENSIONS

  • Lash extensions should be removed professionally. Please do not attempt to remove your own lashes without the correct guidance and recommended professional product
  • Lash extensions should last up to 2+ weeks if looked after properly. We lose approximately 3-5 lashes per day naturally; therefore, regular maintenance is required to keep your lashes looking fresh. After just 14 days you will expect to lose approximately 56 lashes due to our natural lashes shedding away. These lashes will also become loose and twist if the bond becomes weak over time- this can cause an imbalance and more tension on the natural lash which can lead to damage If not dealt with. For these reasons regular maintenance is very important.
  • CLEAN and brush your lashes daily, ensure not to leave any makeup debris in the lashes as this creates a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. Using the correct tools and products recommended to clean the lashes is VERY important to care for the health of your natural lashes and increase the longevity of your service.

After having a brow service, it is imperative that you care properly for your service to prevent the early/ immediate breakdown of your service.

If you do not care for your service correctly, your service may fail, leaving you disappointed, to no fault of the treatment performer

    HENNA BROWS

  • Be extra careful for the first 24 hours for a henna service while the product sets fully.
  • Avoid getting the area wet for 24 hours.
  • Cleanse around the treatment area taking care not to rub the area even after the treatment has fully set, this especially helps to create a longer wear of henna on the skin which is the majority of the client’s desire from a henna treatment.
  • Apply the recommended brow serum x2 daily specified by Chelsea, to protect the treatment area and keep the brows nourished and fresh!
  • Apply the serum before showering or cleansing the face, this helps to protect the product further, just in case water runs over the area. Please continue to make the effort to NOT rub over the brows when cleansing and trying not to disturb the brow area as much as possible to prevent fading.
  • If you are planning on tanning after a henna service please wait a minimal of 24-48 hours to prevent the tan reacting with the brow pigment, and also letting the skin settle after a brow wax. Tan should NOT be rubbed over the brows please take care not to apply tan DIRECTLY on the eyebrows.
  • Exposure to UV can fade the brows

  • BROW LAMINATION

  • Be extra careful for the first 48 hours for a brow lamination service while the product sets fully.
  • Avoid getting the area wet for 48 hours.
  • Cleanse around the treatment area taking care not to rub the area even after the treatment has fully set, this especially helps the service last longer if not manipulated into different directions.
  • Brush the hairs into place morning and evening to keep the hair trained into the desired direction to create a longer lasting result
  • Use of a brow gel or soap is recommended to help hold the brows in place- again to create a longer lasting service
  • If you are planning on tanning after a brow lamination service please wait a minimal of 48+ hours to prevent the tan reacting with the brow products, and also letting the skin settle after a brow wax. Tan should NOT be rubbed over the brows please take care not to apply tan DIRECTLY on the eyebrows.
  • Exposure to UV can fade the brows if tint or henna has been applied
  • We recommend applying the nouveau lash and brow serum to your brows 2x daily. This helps to nourish and strengthen your brow hair after a lamination treatment, creating a healthier, stronger brow. Lamination products are similar to lash lifts, which means that if planning on having regular lamination sessions- you must nourish the brow hair to prevent it becoming dry.
  • (The lash and brow serum does not interfere with your service, but enhances it further by protecting the brow hair, creating a stable base for further treatments to take place, enabling longer and healthier wear of your service)

    BROW TINT + SHAPE

  • If you are planning on tanning after a brow tint and shape service please wait a minimal of 24+ hours to prevent the applied tan reacting with the brow products, and also letting the skin settle after a brow wax. Tan should NOT be rubbed over the brows please take care not to apply tan DIRECTLY on the eyebrows.
  • If you are using a sunbed please wait a minimal of 24 hours to prevent the fresh skin being exposed to UV light, after this time please take extra care and if you do not already- use SPF to protect the area for the first week
  • HELP: BROW GROWTH, STABILITY AND NOURISHMENT

    • We recommend applying the nouveau lash and brow serum to your brows 2x daily. This helps to nourish and strengthen your brow hair creating a healthier, stronger brow.
    • Using the brow and lash serum provides nourishment and strength to your brows and lashes. Eventually creating further volume and length due to very well-nourished hairs.
    • Using the growth serum provides a boost in the amount of growth you have in the hairs that you would not be able to achieve naturally.
    • Using both products in conjunction with each other is the key to success for any growth programme, or just to enhance and expose the true potential of your brows and lashes

BEFORE

Before having a Spray tan, please contact us in the event you are contraindicated in any way for the service, to prevent disappointment and the possible loss of your deposit.

TO PREPARE FOR YOUR TAN WE SUGGEST…

  • 4 days before: have a hot shower and exfoliate all areas of your body well, using gloves or a scrub sponge for the skin, ensuring all of your dead skin has been removed
  • 2 days before: have a hot bath & exfoliate again very thoroughly, after this apply a thick layer of moisturiser
  • The night before: shower as normal (shave gently at this point ensuring not to press onto the skin as this can irritate the skin before a tan and can result in lines up the legs etc) gently rub dry the skin with a towel and moisturise before bed
  • On the day: shower just before your appointment (or up to an hour before your appointment) to prevent the natural oils building up in your skin before your tan. Do not apply moisturiser, perfume or deodorant etc, and please do not wear makeup

Please ensure you arrive to your appointment:

  • Well prepped, without makeup, moisturiser/ skin products/ fragranced products/ body sprays.
  • With freshy showered skin ensuring the natural oils have been removed
  • Bring very loose clothing and flip flops to prevent the tan rubbing away whilst fresh
  • We provide disposable paper knickers if required but if you choose to wear your own please be aware of the tan lines you will be left with

    AFTER

After having a Spray Tan, it is imperative that you care properly for your service to prevent disappointment

If you do not care for your service correctly, your service may fail, leaving you disappointed, to no fault of the treatment performer

    • Be extra careful while your tan is setting. Do not get the tan wet for the specified time stated by the treatment performer
    • Your 1st shower: when you first wash your tan off you need to ensure you use WATER ONLY. Using any soaps/ shampoo etc will cause a reaction with the guide colour, resulting in possible streaking and uneven colour
    • Once you have had your first shower, try not to rub your skin dry after showering etc as this will fade your tan faster and create patchy lighter areas where you habitually rub yourself dry
    • Avoid prolonged exposure to chlorinated pools or treated hot tubs where possible, as these chemicals fade spray tans quickly

    SPRAY TAN MYTH BUSTING

    • Spray tans DO NOT act as SPF, please use SPF while exposed to UV
    • Spray tans DO NOT stop you getting a natural tan *whatsoever*
